If you have a pool this is something you may feel identified with. We recently had a customer reach out to us because their pool started to turn an interesting shade of green. They had tried to sanitize it, but unfortunately, it was as stubborn as a mule and wouldn’t turn clear. Does that ring any bells?
We totally get it, sometimes pool maintenance can seem like a pretty straight forward process, but it can quickly spiral out of control if you’re not careful.
Still water is perfect environment for bacteria and algae
Backwash your sand filter, or clean your cartridges
Be consistent maintaining your pool at least 2x week, remember the Trinity
Green Pool?...Ugh! Not Again!
Green water not only looks unpleasant to see and takes away the beauty from your backyard but also is unsafe to swim or be near (depending of the shade of green the pool has.
Teal, Green and Dark are the three colors to describe the level of algae and bacteria, your pool may have.
Each stage requires a different process so the faster you act, the less time will take to get the pool swimmable again.
KEEP ALWAYS IN MIND:
Have clear how much water volume your pool has in lt / gal
Remove as much debris and residuals from the bottom
Clean pump and skimmer basket removing as much debris as possible
Shocking is necessary when the previous steps have been taken, don't waste your money, and follow the process
